What BackOnTrack Is
What We Do
BackOnTrack provides one-time financial assistance for veterans who have fallen behind on their mortgage due to a temporary hardship. Our goal is to prevent foreclosure and help veterans regain stability.
This program is designed for veterans who are experiencing a short-term hardship and need support to get back on their feet.
What We Cover:
- Mortgage payments that are past due
- Up to $5,000 in assistance
- Payment made directly to the lender/servicer
Documents You’ll Need
- Driver’s license or photo ID
- DD-214 or veteran status proof
- Mortgage statement showing delinquency
- Proof of hardship (ex: termination letter, medical bill, income change)
- Proof of Income (recent pay stub, award letter)
- UHF Consent & Disclaimer Form (signed)
How BackOnTrack Works
1. Complete the BackOnTrack Intake Form
Submit the initial application with basic information about your hardship and mortgage status.
2. Phone Interview With Our Team
We will contact you to review your situation, verify eligibility, and explain the next steps.
3. Submit Required Documents (If You Qualify)
After the interview, you will receive an email with a link to upload your documents for board review.
4. Board Review & Recipient Selection
Our board reviews all eligible applications each month and selects qualified recipients to receive BackOnTrack assistance.
5. Decision Notification
You will receive an email with the board’s decision.
If selected, assistance is paid directly to your mortgage servicer.
